Omar AlZaim has joined Goldman Sachs as Head of Saudi Arabia Investment Banking
Omar has over 10 years of dedicated investment banking experience across the Middle East region and joins the firm from HSBC, Riyadh where he was most recently serving as an Associate Director in the Investment Banking team
Omar began his career in Investment Banking at Deutsche Bank, Riyadh. Having left Deutsche Bank in April 2013, Omar went on to spend a year within the Resources & Energy Group at HSBC, Dubai and subsequently held various positions within the firm's Investment Banking Department before reaching the level of Associate Director within the advisory team
Omar's extensive experience spans local and cross border mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, rights issues and debt offerings. Notable transactions Omar has worked on include the IPO of Saudi Aramco, The PIF's divestment of a stake in Sabic to Aramco as well as a number of privatisation deals
The hiring of Omar marks Delta Executive Search's third placement of a Head of Investment Banking for Saudi Arabia at a global US Investment Bank in the last 5 years
