Goldman Sachs Asset Management has hired Habib Saikaly from JP Morgan Asset Management in London into their Riyadh offices as Head of MENA Fundamental Equities reporting into Basak Yavuz and Hiren Dasani, the co-heads of Goldman’s emerging market equity division.
Habib joined Goldman Sachs Asset Management from JP Morgan Asset Management, where he had worked for 13 years and was most recently a Senior Portfolio Manager as part of the Emerging Markets Asia Pacific team. In his role he managed GEM Core and ESG Thematic equity funds. Habib previously held the roles of EMEA Portfolio Manager and EMEA Regional Analyst with a specialization in MENA and Turkey.
Habib started his career in 2002 and since then has worked for Credit Suisse in London for 3 years where he was an Equity Analyst and Head of HOLT EEMEA. In addition to this, he also worked for Deloitte and PwC between 2005 and 2008.
He holds a Specialised Masters from ESCP Business School, and a Bachelor’s Degree from Loyola Marymount University.
