• Morgan Stanley Investment Management is to acquire Eaton Vance for approximately USD 7 billion, adding over USD 500 billion in assets under management to bring its total AUM to USD 1.2 trillion
• Mike FRENO, who was appointed President at Barings in February, has additionally been appointed Chairman & Chief Executive Officer following the move of Tom FINKE, the current holder of those roles, into a Strategic Advisor position
• Lazard Asset Management has boosted its offering by completing the hires of two teams of investment professionals. Sal NARO, Vincent MISTRETTA, Michael CANNON and Sanjay AIYAR, join in New York from Coherence Capital Partners where they formed the Long/Short Credit Strategy team, while Ryan HUTCHINSON and Stefan WIMMER join in New York and Berlin from Global Thematic Partners where they worked together on the Digital Health Strategy
• Jae PARK, Chief Investment Officer at Loomis Sayles, is to leave, with David WALDMAN, Deputy Chief Investment Officer, being named as his successor
• Wells Fargo is reportedly considering the sale of its asset management arm, which currently manages USD 578 billion of assets

• Paul LACOURSIERE, Aviva Investors, Global Head of ESG Research, London, is to join Janus Henderson as the firms first Head of ESG Investments, reporting to Enrique CHANG, Global Chief Investment Officer
• Nadia GRANT, Threadneedle Investments, Head of EMEA-based US Equities, London, has joined Capital Group as a Portfolio Manager, Capital Solutions Group, London. George BAHAMONDES, Deutsche Bank, Senior Equity Research Analyst, Specialty Finance & Real Estate Finance, San Francisco, and Shival BAJPAY, Parker Infrastructure Partners, Investment Associate, have also joined Capital Group, in Equity Research roles in Los Angeles and New York respectively
