- Morgan Stanley Investment Management is to acquire Eaton Vance for approximately USD 7 billion, adding over USD 500 billion in assets under management to bring its total AUM to USD 1.2 trillion
- Mike FRENO, who was appointed President at Barings in February, has additionally been appointed Chairman & Chief Executive Officer following the move of Tom FINKE, the current holder of those roles, into a Strategic Advisor position
- Lazard Asset Management has boosted its offering by completing the hires of two teams of investment professionals. Sal NARO, Vincent MISTRETTA, Michael CANNON and Sanjay AIYAR, join in New York from Coherence Capital Partners where they formed the Long/Short Credit Strategy team, while Ryan HUTCHINSON and Stefan WIMMER join in New York and Berlin from Global Thematic Partners where they worked together on the Digital Health Strategy
